I\'d like to have backgrounds in my layouts but I don\'t know anywhere to get things like building images and others such as trees, houses, parking lots, itc. Is there somewhere I can get images to help me build nice backgrounds?

did you download the stuff in
Downloads -> Layouts -> Other Stuff?
There you could get some small picture elements for your layouts. Maybe, that\'s enough stuff?

Also, you could look at the other layouts with backgrounds...
